Overview
Reborn the Chinese Imperial Kiln of Jingdezhen since 1.000 years
• Ran Xiangfei uses the old Chinese process of throwing, glazing, firing, and painting, which is as refined and complex as the artwork itself. All of his works are handmade using the full ancient Chinese imperial kiln process of Jindezhen, which has been in use for 1,000 years.

• His porcelains are pristine, graceful, and fine, disarmingly simple, contemplative objects whose finishes reflect the panoply of the natural world, such as spring flowers, mountains under clouds, moonlight, star-filled nights, undulating ocean waves, and fiery sunsets.

• Stemming from the artist's interest in rare ancient Chinese tea set glazes, Ran Xiangfei seeks to create glazes that have a three-dimensional quality and convey purity and peacefulness. His forms can be characterized as classic, calm, and balanced in aesthetic.

• Based on his many years of research into Song-dynasty ceramics, he has successfully mastered them and created a series of fine porcelains of his own unique style, which combines new innovations and technologies and abounds with cultural and aesthetic meaning.

• Porcelains created by Ran Xiangfei have won numerous significant international awards, such as the Best of Best of Red Dot in Germany at the age of 23, and are included in significant museum collections, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
