The sculpture features a sleeping baby, its delicate form nestled in a fantastical blue water that seems to be a part of the baby's dreamscape that protects her/him. The soft, rounded contours of the baby’s body are expertly sculpted, capturing the gentle curves and tender vulnerability of a newborn. The baby's face, serene and smiling, evokes a profound sense of calm and joy, drawing the viewer into its tranquil slumber.
Binbin's craftsmanship shines in the intricate details. The baby’s skin appears almost lifelike, with subtle variations in texture and tone that highlight the artist’s meticulous attention to detail. The soft creases and folds of the baby’s body are rendered with exquisite precision, enhancing the realism and emotional impact of the piece.
In the end, I will install this human body on the mirror-polished water ripples in hand-polished bronze surface, which is another change in the theme of water. I look forward to this visual effect.
