Overview
Faces of Nature
"If one is willing to see elegance, virtuosity, and ingenuity in the detail of a butterfly wing or a flower petal, then one can see beauty in everything and take care of it like the most precious of treasures.
• Nature is no longer an inanimate decoration that can be disposed of at will, but has become, in the eyes of the painter, a living being rich in billions of years of adaptation and creativity, carrying within it all the solutions to our problems. The biomimetic scientific glance is a fantastic source of inspiration for the artist.
"Something which would belong only to oneself, a kind of found DNA, a history of the bottom of the ages tattooed on the skin or worn in headdress like a totem.”
• France Courpotin expresses, through her characters, the close relationship, almost carnal, between the human being anNature in what it could have of beautiful, inventive, creative, but also of secrecy, unconsciousness, and mystery.

• Very influenced by the aesthetic details of Japanese painting, she uses Indian ink, acrylics, and oils. An innate colorist, France Courpotin celebrates the biodiversity of the world around us. Her paintings reflect it trough kimonos, abstract landscapes and Japanese graphics design.

Biography
An talent artist from the South of France
"I threw myself into painting as one would throw themselves off the deck of a boat, physically absorbed by the immensity of the ocean, as if reconnected to my deep and original nature. "
• For the past ten years, France has been living and working in her studio in Aix en Provence, France.

• Her creative process finds its origins in the exploration of the connections that link the human being to Nature and its history.

• At the beginning, abstraction was her refuge, but very quickly recomposed faces surfaced, telling a story in harmony with natural elements. The challenge of the 21st century fascinates and questions her; never before in the history of humanity has the human being felt such an urgent need to change the way they look at their environment.

• Mankind's role in the universe, the link between the infinitely large and the infinitely small, the ultra connection of our world and its beauty in detail for he who should know how to observe all of this, are many subjects which fascinate the artist and make her paint.
