The artist shows that the ends of the earth is both at hand and inaccessible.
It is with humour that the artist views the man who has always dreamed of conquering, discovering, going to the end of the world, and who often has difficulty reaching his own feet, knowing himself.
Isabel Miramontes gives each of her sculptures a soul of his own. Each figure carries within it a message delivered by a movement, a posture, an expression. To achieve this near perfection, Isabel Miramontes shapes the material, lightens it, softens it, bares it, works the curves until reaching this subtle and powerful balance.

Provenance
This sculpture represents the ambiguity of the man who wants to reach the end of the world: he stretches out… to reach it with this feeling of going beyond himself; and at the same time it turns in on itself, and the body bends in the face of this disproportionate ambition.Welcome Offer for Your 1st Art
