A bear trains his two cubs in acrobatic postures, just as I used to play "circus" with my cousins as a child. These were great moments when we imagined ourselves taking immeasurable risks in front of an amazed audience.
I didn't make a career in the circus, and far be it from me to represent my bears on a ring, prisoners of trainers!
They're having the time of their lives!
Brown patina with lighter backgrounds
Variation of the bear and cub I started from the theme of learning to create this very designed bronze. Its rounded shapes invite caressing! The protagonists look into each other's eyes in a mirror effect, the little one saying to himself “when I grow up”, and the big one” when I was little”, in a never ending game of generations.
Sophie Verger is a fairy who knows how to transform an emotion into an animal, a sensation, a felling in a recollected memory. She also suggests to us with a lot of humor a lovable identification with the animal model and beyond this observation the fact that in all her work, the child alone has its place with her, spontaneously capable of including the existence of the animal in her own fundamental values.
