The refreshing water in the midsummer is a metaphor of trouble.
The lotus color is extraordinary and refined.
The snowy mountains in the background are ethereal and magnificent, implying the highest and tranquil spiritual realm reached after enlightenment.
In the midst of holding a quiet body, the lotus show the four virtues of Nirvana: constancy, happiness, me, and purity.
Zhang Jinxian simultaneously and magically displayed the
traditional brushwork, natural objects and the abstract spiritual realm he
pursued on a same rice paper. It seems to sway freely, with a sense of
imagination, but created with scenery. Smooth strokes is without
unintentional carving, However, a kind
of quiet and indecent power is revealed in the natural flow.

Literature
The Buddhist family used the lotus to describe the Buddha. The lotus leaves out of the mud without staining, the soul in the red dust is aloof.
The coexistence of the lotus flower, fruit, seed, just like the Buddha‘s “Fa, Bao, Ying” three bodies.
The lotus root is as white as jade, like the Fa body is uncoloured.
The stem of the lotus is straight through, like the five-passer in the sky.
The lotus leaves do not stay dripping, like the bodhisattva is not afraid of evil.
The lotus flower does not branch, like the buddha nature is unhindered.
