LI Guofang transformed each Chinese characters of an ancient Chinese poem into his original contemporary and abstract graphic symbols in red color. Then he blended these "words" into the black raindrops continuously dripping from the sky, making this artwork full of poetic and profound meaning. The dripping raindrops are filled of flowing and heavy vitality, and also symbolize the passing of time and history. The artist uses contemporary new forms to pay tribute to the eternal theme of tradition and nature.

Literature
” Waking up in the spring morning,it was already bright.
There are crisp calls of birds everywhere.
Recalling the gusts of wind and rain last night,
how many fragrant spring flowers blown off.”
- 「Spring Morning」
" Spring Morning" is a famous Chinese poem written by MENG Haoran, a poet from the Tang Dynasty (689-740). This poem was made when he lived in Lumen Mountain in seclusion.
The artist transformed each Chinese word of this poem into his original green abstract graphic characters.
