In bookmarks the faces, or part of them, are external to the volume, while the small fold of the sheet that acts as a bookmark and almost a watershed between two parts is central, attracting the attention of the observer.
The mystery remains, what marks this fold, what important event such as to divide a before from an after?
The faces look in different directions: the most complete one seems to observe the viewer and almost ask for his opinion.
The other eye, on the other hand, is oriented towards a distant non-place beyond time and space.
The faces emerge seamlessly from flows of thoughts, that sometimes go in different directions, between the pages full of characters expressed in a language that can be understood intuitively only by the unconscious.
