This new contemporary bronze sculpture by Miramontes, entitled "The Little Man," proves to be a captivating work, bearing the unmistakable imprint of the artist's style.
The protagonist, an adorable little boy, stands with a posture imbued with wisdom, fingers crossed behind his back, creating a veil of mystery that surrounds his personality. The roundness of childhood is exquisitely rendered, offering the viewer a tactile and visceral vision of this delicate period of life. The sculpture conveys a sense of kindness and tenderness, capturing the fragility of childlike innocence.
Provenance
The evocative title, "The Little Man," takes on a deeper emotional significance thanks to the personal anecdote shared by the artist. The initial name "Ket," evoking both the mischievous youngster and maternal affection, further enriches the artistic experience by infusing a note of intimacy and a memory of love between Miramontes and her only son.Exposities
