This sculpture represents the ambiguity of the man who wants to reach the end of the world: he stands still to reach it with this feeling of surpassing himself; and at the same time it withdraws into itself, and the body bends in the face of this excessive ambition.

Isabel Miramontes gives each of her sculptures a soul of his own. Each figure carries within it a message delivered by a movement, a posture, an expression. To achieve this near perfection, Isabel Miramontes shapes the material, lightens it, softens it, bares it, works the curves until reaching this subtle and powerful balance.
